A Timely Term
Some may say "Stochastic subterfuge", but Ye point is taken. Bayesian itself dishes a morsel of irony when applied to the Media, as the Calculus behind the tossing of coins typically assumes the use of "fair" specie (and the measuring instruments thereof).
The term alludes to Bayesian updating, which is an increasingly popular theory of how belief should be altered as new evidence is found.
