{"id":551,"date":"2008-08-24T22:02:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-25T06:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oeconomist.com\/blogs\/daniel\/?p=551"},"modified":"2009-09-25T21:20:35","modified_gmt":"2009-09-26T05:20:35","slug":"drive-i-said","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oeconomist.com\/blogs\/daniel\/?p=551","title":{"rendered":"Drive, I Said"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the interval since <a href=\"?p=244\">I installed a new Linux driver for my <abbr title=\"Advanced Micro Devices\">AMD<\/abbr> <abbr title=\"gibberish abbreviation\">ATI<\/abbr> video adapter<\/a>, I have had fewer incidents of <a href=\"?p=186\">being logged-out when using Firefox<\/a>, but there were still a few pages such that I would be logged out of my Linux session when I attempted to scroll through them with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.com\/en-US\/firefox\/\">Firefox<\/a>.<\/p> <p>Yester-day or to-day, <abbr title=\"Advanced Micro Devices\">AMD<\/abbr> <abbr title=\"gibberish abbreviation\">ATI<\/abbr> released <a href=\"http:\/\/ati.amd.com\/support\/driver.html\">a newer version of the driver<\/a>, which seems to have resolved the remaining problem.<\/p> <p><span style=\"font-weight: bolder ;\">[<span style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Addendum<\/span><\/span> (2008:08\/27)<span style=\"font-weight: bolder ;\">:<\/span> Ah, I wrote too soon.
