(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.praxiologic.com\/economics\/papers\/CoinFlip.pdf\">The paper<\/a> was originally submitted on 3 September, with the acknowledgements in-place and with a note from me that one of their editors was mentioned there&iuml;n.  The journal tossed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praxiologic.com\/economics\/papers\/CoinFlip.pdf\">it<\/a> back to me to scrub the acknowledgments.)<\/p> <p>To-day, then, at 08:48, we passed <strong style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Day 500<\/strong> since the (re)submission of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praxiologic.com\/economics\/papers\/CoinFlip.pdf\">the paper<\/a>.  Day 500, and the present status is <q>Under review<\/q>, <a href=\"wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/status.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/status_450x71.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"71\" alt=\"\" style=\"border: 0 ; display: block ; margin-top: 1em ; margin-bottom: 1em ; margin-left: auto ; margin-right: auto ;\" \/><\/a> which became <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praxiologic.com\/economics\/papers\/CoinFlip.pdf\">it<\/a>s official status on 15 November of last year. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oeconomist.com\/blogs\/daniel\/?p=3727\">I earlier labored its previous status changes.<\/a>) Doubtless that someone is thinking that they've <q>only<\/q> had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praxiologic.com\/economics\/papers\/CoinFlip.pdf\">the paper<\/a> for 67 days, but the journal itself has had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praxiologic.com\/economics\/papers\/CoinFlip.pdf\">it<\/a> for <em>500<\/em> days.<\/p> <p>I am aware &mdash; Would that there were a G_d to help us all! &mdash; that 500 days is <em>not<\/em> a record for such delay.
