As he is part-way up, Seward comes up from behind him.  Van Helsing stops, and takes a step down to meet Seward.<\/p> <p><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Van Helsing:<\/span> <q>Seward!  That which I have feared from the <em>beginning<\/em> has happened!<\/q><\/p> <p><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Seward:<\/span> <q>What?<\/q><\/p> <p><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Van Helsing:<\/span> <q>Dracula boasts that he has <em>fused<\/em> his blood with that of Miss Mina!  In life she will now become the foul thing of the night that <em>he<\/em> is!<\/q><\/p> <p><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Seward:<\/span> <q>But, van Hesling&mdash;<\/q><\/p> <p><span style=\"font-variant: small-caps ;\">Van Helsing:<\/span> <q>No, no!  Come, Seward!<\/q>  Van Helsing resumes <em>walking<\/em> up the stairs, <em>one at a time<\/em>. <q>Come!
