A number of people take advantage of the <abbr title=\"wireless local area network\">WLAN<\/abbr> to play <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldofwarcraft.com\/\"><abbr title=\"World of Warcraft\">WoW<\/abbr><\/a>.<\/p> <p>Unfortunately, there is also a weekly <q>meet-up<\/q> of <a href=\"http:\/\/boardgames.meetup.com\/371\/\">the <abbr title=\"San Diego Boardgames Group\">SDBG<\/abbr><\/a>, <abbr title=\"also known as\">AKA<\/abbr> <q>the Game Weasels<\/q>.  The Game Weasels <em>crowd<\/em> those around them, physically pressing up against strangers, obliviously bumping into tables, unplugging power cords, and so forth.  They somehow associate <em>having a good time<\/em> with being <em>loud<\/em>, such that their noisiness <em>feeds on itself<\/em>.  And they love to play games that are <em>tests of knowledge<\/em>, but they don't seem to be very <em>knowledgeable<\/em>; their noisiness makes their ignorance hard to ignore.<\/p> <p>Other regulars, patrons and <span style=\"font-style: italic ;\">baristi<\/span>, are starting to complain amongst themselves.  Some of us need to figure-out how to address this problem.  Some of the Game Weasels seem like the sort who would respond well to an <em>individual<\/em>, but others seem to have an exaggerated sense of <em>entitlement<\/em>, so they are best approached <em>by a group<\/em>, or by a representative of the firm (one of the owners, or a <span style=\"font-style: italic ;\">barista<\/span>).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Many people at David's Coffee Place play games &mdash; there are a fair number of chess players, and I think that there is usually a card game going on the patio.
