{"id":159,"date":"2008-06-05T23:58:46","date_gmt":"2008-06-06T07:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oeconomist.com\/blogs\/daniel\/?p=159"},"modified":"2009-09-23T20:11:54","modified_gmt":"2009-09-24T04:11:54","slug":"geekentrailallfull","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oeconomist.com\/blogs\/daniel\/?p=159","title":{"rendered":"GeekEntrailAllFull"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yester-day, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbb.org\/\">the Better Business Bureau<\/a> sent to me a copy of a fax in which Rod Pereira (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.geekavailable.com\/\">Geek Available<\/a> <abbr title=\"also known as\">AKA<\/abbr> <q><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geekavailable.com\/\">GeekAvailable<\/a><\/q>) asserted <blockquote style=\"font-size: smaller ;\">Answering the issue under ID <span style=\"font-style: italic ;\">&#91;here omitted&#93;<\/span>, I would like to state that the computer was returned to him as soon as he showed up to pick it up on Tuesday, the 27<sup>th<\/sup><br \/>As seen on the documents provided attached to this, I already sent him an email explaining that we actually dropped the ball on his particular case and saying how sorry I was for that<br \/>I absolutely refuse the reimbursement of any computer rental fees he could have had as it wasn't agreed under any circumstances<\/blockquote> I informed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbb.org\/\">the <abbr title=\"Better Business Bureau\">BBB<\/abbr><\/a> that I'd received no such communication from him, that his communications to me since I'd contacted them had consisted largely of various misrepresentations, that vague admission to <q>dropp<span style=\"font-style: italic ;\">&#91;ing&#93;<\/span> the ball<\/q> was not sufficient, that he'd not returned my computer before extracting an <q>evaluation<\/q> fee (the diagnosis of which <q>evaluation<\/q> was incorrect), and that the delay from Saturday until Tuesday didn't result from mere ineptitude and that I was plainly entitled to re&iuml;bursement for that.<\/p> <p>Pereira can agree to repay me in the process, or we can go to court, in which case he will have to repay me <em>and<\/em> bear the court costs.
